In 2022 Yukon’s exploration expenditures topped $125M, with development expenditures topping $104M. In the Dawson planning region alone, a total of $656M and $147M has been spent on exploration and development, respectively. These expenditures from Yukon’s mining industry have, and continue to be, a responsible and sustainable contributor to Yukon’s communities and economy. The territory’s exploration and mining industry provides jobs, training opportunities and positive social impacts in Yukon communities.
